I would definitely recommend this class to anyone. This class gave me the tools to change my eating habits on my own and as a result I exceeded my weight-loss goal. What I liked best about this class is, I was able to learn some perimeters regarding total amount of fat and calories a person should have daily and good ways to incorporate healthy food choices. That was an eye-opener. Made me more aware of my less-than-stellar eating habits. I think anyone who has success with this class during the time we’re meeting will have a better chance to stick with the healthy eating habits when the class is finished. Because of the weight-loss, I feel more energetic. Honestly, this has been the easiest way to lose weight. When I look back over the last 16 weeks, this has not been a diet. It has been a life-style change and I feel very prepared to continue to make healthy food choices for myself.

Looking back over the last few years of my life, I have not felt this healthy in a long time! I finally don’t wake up every morning feeling sick. I have that energy and the will that I have been searching for to get me through the day. Chad and the I CAN Prevent Diabetes program has taught me to be responsible for my own actions. He has given me the ability to take control of my life. I no longer feel like an outsider and I feel that what I do does in fact make a difference!
Before I started the program, I had my blood work done to see where my health was at. After 8 weeks of the program, I tested again and my A1C went from 8.1% to 6.8%!
Habits are easy to make and hard to break. It is very difficult to take charge and try to be different. It would be easier to just go along with the rest of the crowd and eat fast food, but I refuse! Chad has taught me that exercise and eating right shouldn’t be difficult and that I need to make it easy for myself. This program is not a “diet”, but instead it is a way of life!
When I look back at my biggest obstacles to overcome during the course of this program, it has to be fear. Fear of change. Fear of not being able to do it. Fear of what people may think of me. But no more! I am ready to take on this world with a whole new attitude! I am in control of my destiny and nothing will stop me.

This class has changed my life! This class has made me more capable of controlling my bad habits and not letting the media persuade my decisions. There is a lot of bad food out in this world, and I am now in control of what is surrounding me!
